Today, in our geography GLAD unit, we learned about what geography means and what continents are. We are learning a song that reinforces our learning.

During this unit, we will be learning about the continents and oceans of Earth, geographical features of North America, the features of a map and the different types of navigation and communities.
     In math, we are practicing skip counting by tens starting from any number in the hundreds chart. This is a hard concept for many children.

Last week we were busy learning procedures and reviewing our school rules, Be Safe, Be Respectful and Be Responsible! We have begun our first GLAD (Guided Language Aquisition Design) unit on Geography.  Students traveled around the room and made comments, added a question or wrote an observation. They had fun and it sparked their interest.
